Bloom Stories: Interview with Kamila Robinson of Achelois Holistic Wellness
An inspirational story about intuition, courage, and building a healing-centered business.
This post is part of an ongoing interview series highlighting women entrepreneurs who are building impactful, soul-led businesses. My hope is to:
Inspire you to follow your dreams—and see firsthand that it’s possible for you, too
Help you find connection and common ground in the stories other women share
Shine a light on incredible business owners who deserve to be seen
I recently had the chance to sit down with Kamila Robinson, owner of Achelois Holistic Wellness in Chisago City, MN. Kamila is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and after 5 - 6 years of dreaming up this spa-like wellness center, she took the leap and opened her doors in 2024.
If you have felt called to do something outside of your comfort zone, Kamila’s story is a reminder to:
Trust yourself and your vision
Allow yourself to be seen—even when it feels a little scary
Know that you don’t need a business background to run a business
A Sanctuary Built With Intention
The moment I walked into Achelois Holistic Wellness, my nervous system relaxed. It truly is a spa-like sanctuary that touches all your senses—calming scents, warm decor, and soothing tea.
It’s intentionally designed to feel like a spa rather than a clinical doctor’s office. Achelois offers mental health therapy along with alternative therapies that ground and relax, supporting your whole body through every stage of life.
I wanted to speak with Kamila because of the energy that radiates from the space she has built. It’s hard not to be inspired by what she has created.

The Path Leading to Achelois
Kamila always knew she wanted to be a Marriage and Family Therapist. She mainly works with individual women—from their 20s through their 70s—through different stages of their experience.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, the work is systemic. The person isn’t “the problem.” She looks at all the contexts impacting them: environment, family dynamics, how they grew up, how they were spoken to, relationships, society, and what’s happening in the world.
While it was a gift that she knew she always wanted to be a therapist, it wasn’t always easy. She had positive work experiences but also found herself in a work environment that didn’t provide the support she was looking for.
It was experiences like this that sparked the idea of Achelois. She envisioned a different kind of support for both practitioners and clients.
You Don’t Need a Business Degree to Begin
Knowing that Kamila’s background is in therapy, I had to ask her whether she had any business training.
Her answer → No.
No formal business background, yet she’s built a successful business. I truly find it inspiring when entrepreneurs don’t let this hold them back. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have support.
“I’ve had wonderful mentors and leaders, and I’ve learned a lot through podcasts and experience. Therapists often aren’t very “business-minded” and can even forget to charge people, but we still have to live, so that part matters too.”

→ Great accountant

When Doubt & Impostor Syndrome Creep In
Even now, living the dream she envisioned for 5+ years and having many different resources for help, doubt still shows up. Like many entrepreneurs, Kamila isn’t immune to impostor syndrome.
Entrepreneurship isn’t for the faint of heart. It often pushes you to grow and confront limiting beliefs you wouldn’t have otherwise been forced to face.
What helps her through it?
Her training kicks in. She reminds herself to zoom out, look at the bigger picture, and turn inward.
“For me, impostor syndrome often shows up around leadership: Do I know enough about leadership when it comes to running this clinic? My first instinct is to consume everything—podcasts, books, research.
I’ve learned to see that as a signal. Instead of spiraling into information overload, I try to do the opposite: set it aside, go inward, ground myself, and trust my gut.
I love the spiritual side, so I pull tarot cards sometimes. I often pull The High Priestess, which reminds me that I’ve already accomplished a lot—that I’m enough, I’m doing enough, and I can trust myself and my resources.
So my tip: notice when you’re scrambling from urgency. Pause and come back to your center, and remind yourself of what you already know and have built.”
These little actions have kept her moving forward as Achelois continues to evolve.

Kamila’s Advice For Anyone Feeling The Call
If you’re curious about creating something similar or you’re looking for inspiration as you grow your business, here’s some advice from Kamila.
“I’d say: trust yourself and your vision.
Every time I’ve trusted my gut, it’s felt right and turned out well, even if some people questioned it or projected their own anxiety onto me.
If you feel called, trust that calling and trust that things will fall into place as needed. Also, gather a team of cheerleaders and supporters—mentors, previous supervisors, your own therapist. Different perspectives and support systems are huge.”
Final Thoughts
I hope Kamila’s story inspires you to follow your dreams, trust yourself, and see that it’s truly possible for you, too.
You don’t have to have all of the answers or be an expert in business to create something special. If you’ve already gotten started in your business, remember to take moments to stay grounded and celebrate everything you’ve accomplished.

A Special Kind of Co-working
If you’re a solopreneur working from home, it can feel a little isolating at times. Virtual co-working offers connection, accountability, and the encouragement you need to finally make progress on the things that matter. What makes our time together unique is:
→ We’ll start with a dose of inspiration from me
→ Settle into focused co-working with some fun tunes
→ Wrap up with group discussion or breakout rooms for supportive peer feedback
There’s something powerful about carving out space for peer feedback. As solopreneurs, we’re often creating in a vacuum—so having others reflect back their insights helps you feel seen, supported, and confident you’re moving in the right direction.
